Indri Trini represents the pinnacle of Indian single malt craftsmanship from Piccadily Group's visionary founder, Surrinder Kumar. This flagship expression showcases six-row barley distilled twice in copper pot stills, then matured across ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry, ex-French red wine, and first-fill bourbon casks—a trinity of influences reflected in its Sanskrit name. The result is a beautifully layered whisky with an inviting nose of caramelized pineapple, orange cream, and Lapsang souchong tea. On the palate, silken textures reveal guava, coconut custard, toasted cinnamon, and ripe peach, finishing long and honeyed with notes of almond, allspice, and passion fruit. Non-chill filtered at 46% ABV with no added coloring, Trini delivers authentic character in every sip.
"The number of high-quality Indian single malts available on the American market has grown in recent years. Indri, based in Haryana in northern India, is one of the most enjoyable entrants to this category we've tasted this year. Triple-cask aging ‡ bourbon, wine, and Pedro Ximenez sherry ‡ plays a major role in defining its profile, with sherry providing rich notes of boozy golden raisins. Bottled without chill-filtration, tropical fruit flavors add another layer to the palate, which has a velvety texture and leaves a lasting impression of caramel on the finish."
