Beautifully aromatic, with a cornucopia of red, black, and blue fruits. Touches of kirsch and cassis accentuate the wine's well-structured profile, while the medium-to-full body creates a harmonious, pleasurable experience for the palate.
The Beaune 1Er Cru Clos du Roi is another maiden bottling from the expanding Tawse portfolio, this from a 0.7-hectare parcel purchased in 2013. This has a generous bouquet with raspberry and cranberry scents that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, crisp on the entry, just a touch of leafiness infusing the red berry fruit, but there is a lovely ferrous finish developing here.
