Dark-red cherry and berry aromas meet with cedar, light dried herbs and graphite elements on the nose of this bottling. There is a firm texture to the sip, where fresh red-fruit flavors are dusted in mocha spices, providing ripe but refreshing with acidity.

Description

The St. Huberts The Stag Paso Robles Red Wine is a powerful and plush red with a lush burgundy, deep crimson color. On the nose the wine offers intriguing aromas of crushed blackberries, boysenberry pie, blackcurrant, and plum preserves alongside baking spice notes of caramel, nutmeg and clove. The wine is full and rich, with good weight and body, offering flavors of lively dark berries alongside allspice and graham cracker crust notes from the oak integration. This well-balanced wine has a bright core of acidity, providing great structure alongside a velvety smooth texture with firm tannins and long finish.

Blend: 79% Shiraz, 9% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 6% Petite Verdot

Cabernet Sauvignon

A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
