Langhe

Langhe wine comes from the Langhe region in Piedmont, northern Italy, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rolling hills and premium vineyards. The Langhe DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) allows a wide range of grape varieties, including Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and international grapes like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Wines labeled “Langhe” offer flexibility for winemakers and often provide a more approachable and affordable alternative to the prestigious Barolo and Barbaresco. Langhe Nebbiolo, for example, showcases the elegance of the Nebbiolo grape with softer tannins and earlier drinkability. The region is also known for high-quality white wines and blends, offering great diversity and value. Langhe wines reflect both tradition and innovation, making the area one of Italy’s most dynamic wine zones.
