Lean, dry and spicy, this seven-year-old small-batch Bourbon may be reminiscent of of rye whiskey. It has a mild maple scent and complex layers of vanilla, cigar wrapper, tea and orange peel, with a spicy finish. The alcohol feels moderate, even mellow, for over 100 proof.

Poor Baker Beam, great-nephew of Jim Beam. His eponymous Baker’s bourbon ended up a sleeper bottle alongside rightfully lauded Booker’s bourbon and stellar limited editions of Knob Creek. But this year, Baker’s has reason to boast, as it gets the single-barrel treatment. It will remain 107 proof and a minimum of 7 years old. However, the addition of details like barreling date, age, warehouse, and barrel number will make for fun treasure hunting. Our bottle offered a lush palate of blackberries, delicious dried fruits, licorice, and cinnamon.

Named after Baker Beam, grand nephew of the legendary Jim Beam, Baker's Bourbon is seven-years-old and hand-bottled at 107 proof. Embracing over six generations of distilling experience, Baker's Bourbon utilizes a special strain of jug yeast that has been in his family for over 60 years. This time tested yeast provides Baker's with a silky smooth texture and consistent taste from batch to batch.

Bourbon

Bourbon, a quintessentially American whiskey, stands out for its meticulous production process and distinctive flavor profile. Crafted predominantly from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the spirit undergoes aging in new charred oak barrels, contributing to its amber hue and imparting a unique combination of sweet and robust notes. With a complex palate that often includes flavors of caramel, vanilla, and a subtle undertone of spice, bourbon has become an iconic and cherished spirit, embodying the rich traditions of American whiskey-making while offering a delightful experience for enthusiasts seeking a nuanced and flavorful libation. Whether sipped neat, on the rocks, or incorporated into classic cocktails, bourbon remains a symbol of craftsmanship and heritage in the world of spirits.
