Although it appears dark, inky and sin¬ister in the glass, this amaro is on the sweet and gentle side. Think ripe plums, dark berries and cola, with a pleasingly spiced finish and just the faintest bitter edge. It's enjoyable to sip straight up with a twist of lemon peel, or lightened with a splash of club soda.

Description

In 1815 in Milano, the first Italian bitter was created by Ausano Ramazzotti, who had the brilliant idea to blend gentian, cinchona, rhubarb, cinnamon, oregano, sweet, orange from Sicily, and bitter orange from Curaçao , among other ingredients, for a tonic and strengthening drink.

Ramazzotti is a traditional digestive meant to calm the stomach and aid in digestion, but is wonderfully versatile, and can also be used as an aperitif when mixed with club soda or ginger ale, served on the rocks or in a variety of cocktails. With its balance of bitter and sweet, it adds intrigue to a specialty drink list..

Ramazzotti undertakes a 360 degree sustainable production, from reduction of bottle weight and fair trade sourcing of its spices, to recyclable materials for its packs and exclusively green energy sources in production.

Amaro

Amaro, originating from Italy, is a revered herbal liqueur renowned for its intricate and bittersweet flavor profile. Crafted from a carefully selected blend of botanicals, herbs, and spices, each amaro brand carries its unique combination, contributing to the distinctive taste. Typically consumed as a digestive, amaro's complex flavors range from herbal and citrusy notes to deep, earthy undertones, creating a nuanced and often layered drinking experience. It has become a staple in mixology, adding depth and complexity to cocktails, and remains a cherished tradition in Italian culture where it is sipped to conclude a meal or enjoyed on its own as a flavorful and aromatic digestif. Cheers to the diverse and flavorful world of amaro! 🥃🌿
