Bongiovanni Arneis Langhe is a charming, terroir-driven Piedmontese white from a respected family producer in the heart of Barolo country. Arneis (whose name translates roughly to "little rascal" in the local Piedmont dialect) is the indigenous white grape of the Langhe and Roero hills โ a variety that nearly went extinct decades ago before being rescued by passionate growers. Today, Arneis has emerged as one of Italy's most exciting white wine categories. The nose opens with ripe pear, fresh apple, white peach, almond blossom, and a soft floral lift typical of the variety. On the palate, the wine is dry and lifted with crisp acidity, juicy stone fruit, gentle nuttiness, and a clean, mineral-driven finish that's both refreshing and complex. The light-to-medium body makes it endlessly food-friendly. Pair it with grilled fish, fresh shellfish, lemon-roasted chicken, soft cheeses, or a classic Piemontese vitello tonnato for a perfect Northern Italian pairing.
