Although billed as a joven, this Tequila is blended with a touch of añejo. The end result is extraordinarily smooth, with a very sweet, fruity, almost wine-like nose but a bold, pure peppery flavor that finishes cleanly. The packaging is gift-worthy, presenting the bottle in a gold-and-robin's egg blue box, like a precious jewel.

Dubbed the “Tastemaker’s Top Tequila” by Forbes Magazine, Casa Dragones Joven is a small batch, master blend of 100% Blue Agave silver and extra-aged tequila, rested in new American oak barrels for five years, for a complex, smooth taste that is perfect for sipping and pairing with food. Each bottle is handcrafted in Mexico City, using pure, lead-free crystal, hallmarking the characteristics of a particular batch. Each crystal bottle of Casa Dragones Joven is engraved by hand using the traditional Mexican technique of “pepita.”

Tequila

Tequila, a distilled spirit with cultural roots deeply embedded in Mexico, is crafted from the fermented juice of the blue agave plant. The distinctive production process involves harvesting and roasting the agave hearts, extracting their sweet juice, and fermenting it to produce the alcoholic beverage. Tequila is characterized by a range of flavors, from earthy and herbal to fruity and spicy, influenced by factors like the region of production and the aging process. There are various types of tequila, including Blanco (unaged), Reposado (aged up to one year), Añejo (aged one to three years), and Extra Añejo (aged over three years). Widely enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails like the classic Margarita, tequila has become a globally recognized and celebrated spirit.
