With its Cheval Noir estate located in Saint-Emilion since the beginning of the century, Mähler-Besse strengthened its operation under the same name, through the acquisition in 1992 of Château La Couronne. Mähler-Bess equipped itself with the essential requirements for the production of great wines, such as truncated cones and automatic sorting tables. Technically perfect, this wine, made from fruit, resulting from limited production and long-lasting macerations is seductive. Its oak-coloured elegance, its finesse and its delicacy make it an immediately pleasurable wine.
Bordeaux red blends, hailing from the Bordeaux region in France, artfully combine grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec to create wines celebrated for their balanced profiles, marrying the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruitiness of Merlot. Known for aging potential, these wines evolve, gaining complexity and softer tannins over time, and their styles range from elegant to full-bodied, influenced by grape proportions and specific terroirs within Bordeaux sub-regions.
