James Suckling
Black-plum, dried-herb, tobacco and some meaty aromas. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Savory and salty finish. Tight and layered. Drink from 2023.

I have enjoyed Lanessan over the last few years, and there's a lot to take note of here. It's a pretty serious take on the vintage with a strong architecture of cassis fruits, pencil lead and slate, more 2016 than 2015 in style. It should age well. Good value. Harvested 24 September to 16 October. Ageing is in 33% new oak.

Bordeaux Red Blend

Bordeaux red blends, hailing from the Bordeaux region in France, artfully combine grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec to create wines celebrated for their balanced profiles, marrying the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruitiness of Merlot. Known for aging potential, these wines evolve, gaining complexity and softer tannins over time, and their styles range from elegant to full-bodied, influenced by grape proportions and specific terroirs within Bordeaux sub-regions.
