ProducerDomaine Laurent Boussey
Domaine Laurent Boussey Volnay is a refined, hand-crafted Burgundian Pinot Noir from a fifth-generation family estate based in Monthélie, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Laurent and Karen Boussey have run the domaine since 2003, farming 14 hectares across 24 distinct appellations with deep respect for traditional Burgundian winemaking. Volnay is the Côte de Beaune's most celebrated red appellation — known for producing some of the most elegant, perfumed Pinot Noirs in all of Burgundy. This bottling captures everything the appellation is famous for: silk, finesse, and a beguiling perfume of red fruit and spring flowers. The nose offers fresh red cherry, raspberry, violet, and a subtle thread of forest floor and warm spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with seamless texture, bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long, perfumed finish that evolves slowly in the glass. Pair it with roast duck, pheasant, mushroom risotto, lamb chops, or creamy soft cheeses to fully appreciate Volnay's celebrated grace.
