ProducerLe Chai de La Louve
Le Chai de La Louve Mâcon Villages is a vibrant, terroir-driven white Burgundy from two passionate brothers, Florian and Bastien, farming in the village of Azé in the southern Mâconnais. The estate is HVE-certified for environmental sustainability and committed to minimal-intervention winemaking that lets the place speak for itself. Made from 100% Chardonnay grown on the limestone-rich slopes of southern Burgundy, this Mâcon Villages is fresh, mineral, and beautifully precise. The wine is partially aged in amphora — an unusual choice for the appellation that brings extra purity, texture, and salinity to the finished wine. The nose opens with crisp green apple, lemon zest, white flowers, and a clear chalky minerality. On the palate, the wine is dry, vibrant, and crystalline, with bright orchard fruit, a creamy mouthfeel, and a long, mineral-driven finish that calls for another sip. Pair it with goat cheese, grilled fish, lemon chicken, soft-boiled eggs, or any dish that benefits from a clean, energetic white.
