
Don Papa Rum is a premium small batch rum that is distilled from local molasses in Negros, Philippines. It is aged for at least seven years and is crafted at the Bago distillery, established in 1902 and acquired by San Miguel in 2003. Bleeding Heart Rum Company, founded in 2012 by Remy Cointreau executive Stephen Carroll, partnered with Ginebra San Miguel for the production. The distillery has a long history of utilizing molasses wash and is credited for pioneering its use in an area that traditionally preferred nipa palm distillation.
