ProducerVina Echeverria
Echeverría No Es Pituko Orange is an exuberant natural wine from a fifth-generation Chilean family estate whose roots in winemaking trace back to 1740 in the Curicó Valley. The name translates to "It's Not Fancy" — a cheeky nod to the project's hands-off philosophy of minimal intervention, wild fermentation, no additives, and bottling unfined and unfiltered. Made from 100% organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc with 60 days of skin contact, this is orange wine in its purest, most expressive form. The pour shows a glowing copper-amber hue with gentle haze typical of natural wines. On the nose, expect dried apricot, candied citrus peel, fresh herbs, and a wisp of woodsmoke. The palate is textured and grippy with citrus zest, light stone fruit, gentle tannins, and a savory, herbaceous finish. Pair it with Korean barbecue, ramen, soft-rind cheeses, charcuterie, or roasted root vegetables — orange wine handles big flavors better than most.
