Gagnard-Delagrange Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru is a serious, age-worthy white Burgundy from one of the Côte de Beaune's most celebrated villages — Chassagne-Montrachet, the appellation that helped make white Burgundy the gold standard of fine Chardonnay. The Gagnard-Delagrange estate has been producing wine in the village for generations, farming small parcels of premier cru land that yield wines of remarkable purity and finesse. Made from 100% Chardonnay carefully aged in French oak barrels, this 1er Cru bottling delivers everything connoisseurs love about the appellation. The nose offers ripe yellow apple, white peach, hazelnut, lemon curd, and the unmistakable thread of flint and limestone minerality. On the palate, the wine is richly textured but precise, with creamy stone fruit, vibrant acidity, and a seamless, mineral-driven finish that goes long. Built to age beautifully for 5–10 years, evolving toward honeyed, toasted nut complexity. Pair it with butter-poached lobster, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, soft-aged cheeses, or simply give it the spotlight on a special occasion.
