Product Description

The 2019 Yarden Pinot Gris features green apple, nashi, lime, pomelo, white peach and tropical fruit notes, balanced with flint and floral characters. This attractive medium-bodied wine exhibits satisfying flavor coupled with freshness and drinkability.

Ready to drink upon release, Yarden Pinot Gris is best enjoyed within a couple of years of vintage. We love pairing the wine with grilled halibut with orange rémoulade, roast spatchcock chicken, or risotto primavera.

The Galilee (or Galil) is the most northern, and generally considered the best, appellation in Israel. The highest quality area within the appellation is the Golan Heights (or simply the Golan), the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) and receive snowfall in the winter. Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin in the central Golan.

Pinot Grigio is a white wine grape known for its light and crisp wines. Originating from the Pinot family, it is a mutation of Pinot Noir. Pinot Grigio wines typically have flavors of green apple, citrus, and floral notes. Hailing from Italy, especially regions like Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Pinot Grigio has become immensely popular worldwide for its easy-drinking and refreshing characteristics. It is also grown in other wine regions, such as Alsace in France and parts of the United States. The wine is often enjoyed young and chilled, making it a popular choice for a variety of occasions.
