ProducerHenri Bonnerue
Henri Bonnerue Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Blanc is a serious, terroir-driven white Burgundy from one of the Mâconnais's most prestigious appellations — recently elevated to recognize Premier Cru status in 2020, marking the first new 1er Cru promotions in southern Burgundy in decades. Made from 100% Chardonnay grown on the steep, limestone-rich slopes around the iconic rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, this is white Burgundy at its most expressive without the staggering price tag of the Côte de Beaune. The nose opens with ripe yellow apple, white peach, crushed almond, lemon curd, and the unmistakable thread of flint and chalk minerality. On the palate, the wine is layered and refined with creamy stone fruit, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish that announces serious Burgundian pedigree. Aged thoughtfully to integrate oak without overpowering the fruit. Built for both immediate enjoyment and short-to-medium cellaring. Pair it with butter-poached fish, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, soft cheeses, or simply give it the spotlight on a special occasion.
