Marqués de Riscal Rueda Blanco is a vibrant, fresh Spanish white from one of Spain's most legendary wine houses — founded in 1858 and continuously crafting respected wines for nearly two centuries. While Riscal is best known for its iconic Rioja reds, the house also produces serious whites in Spain's premier white wine region: Rueda. Made primarily from Verdejo, Spain's signature white grape native to the Castilla y León region, with thoughtful supporting varieties for added complexity. The pour reveals a brilliantly pale lemon-yellow hue. The nose opens with classic Verdejo aromatics: fresh fennel, white peach, citrus zest, white flowers, and a wisp of green herb. On the palate, the wine is dry and lively with crisp acidity, juicy stone fruit, gentle saline minerality, and a clean, refreshing finish. A genuine bargain that captures everything we love about Spanish whites — bright, food-friendly, and built for everyday drinking. Pair it with grilled fish, fresh shellfish, sushi, summer salads, lemon-roasted chicken, or simply chill it down for a warm afternoon.
