Product Description
Reuilly, the small Loire appellation to the southwest of Sancerre, is best known for its bracing, citrusy Sauvignon Blancs and delicate rosés of Pinot Gris. But Pinot Noir also grows here, the vines sending their roots through layers of stones and fossils to reach the prized Kimmeridgian marl that makes up the subsoil, not unlike in Sancerre and Chablis. Denis Jamain, a proud ambassador of Reuilly and devout enthusiast of biodynamic viticulture, crafts a red wine full of elegance and freshness from his modest Pinot Noir holdings. Aged in stainless steel, it is gently perfumed and full of fresh berries with the bright, stony finish typical of wines from Reuilly.
