James SucklingAromas of cooked apple, yogurt and shaved pine. Some vanilla. Itโs full-bodied with plenty of fruit and wood. The new oak dominates the palate now making it a little old school. But thereโs plenty of good fruit underneath. If you want a full-throttle chard, here it is.

Wine EnthusiastThis always solid bottling shows a slight spritz in the glass and offers lemon zest and an alkaline, tonic-like edge to the nose. The palate is tart with lime peel and brisk acidity.
California wines are a dazzling showcase of sunshine, diversity, and bold American spirit, stretching from the cool fog of Sonoma to the sun-drenched valleys of Paso Robles. Napa Valley steals the spotlight with its world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, plush and powerful, while Sonoma charms with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay full of elegance and balance. Coastal breezes and varied soils let winemakers craft everything from crisp Sauvignon Blanc to juicy Zinfandel and even sparkling wines that rival Champagne. Innovation runs deep here, with both legendary estates and small boutique producers pushing boundaries in style and sustainability. Pour a glass of California wine and youโll taste not just fruit and terroir, but the fearless, pioneering vibe that defines the Golden State.
