A traditional Turkish raki distilled from grapes and aromatized with aniseed — the signature spirit of Turkey, central to the country's dining culture. Tekirdağ, a coastal region west of Istanbul, is one of the historic homes of Turkish raki production.
Clear and aromatic in the bottle, raki turns milky-white when cold water is added — the classic “lion's milk” («lion's milk» / "aslan sütü") ritual. Bright anise aroma with a smooth, warming palate. 45% ABV. Traditionally served chilled, diluted 1:1 with cold water and a separate glass of ice water, alongside meze (white cheese, melon, olives, grilled fish).
