Tenute Neirano Barbaresco is a serious, age-worthy Piedmontese red from one of Italy's most prestigious appellations — Barbaresco, the slightly more elegant sibling of Barolo and one of the world's great Nebbiolo regions. Both Barolo and Barbaresco are made from 100% Nebbiolo, but Barbaresco's slightly warmer microclimate produces wines that mature a touch faster and often show more refined finesse. The pour reveals a translucent garnet hue with classic Nebbiolo lightness — a deceptive look for what's coming on the palate. The nose offers iconic Barbaresco aromatics: dried rose petal, sour cherry, leather, tar, dried herbs, and a wisp of sweet truffle and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full bodied with the variety's signature firm tannic grip, vibrant acidity, dried fruit complexity, and a long, savory finish that announces serious cellar potential.
