Tequila Ocho Añejo Old Fitzgerald Barrel Select is a remarkable collaboration between Tequila Ocho — the celebrated artisan distillery led by master distiller Carlos Camarena in Arandas, Jalisco — and the legendary Old Fitzgerald wheated bourbon from Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky. Aged for 12 months in 10-year-old Old Fitzgerald wheated bourbon barrels (Spring 2023 Decanter Series) and bottled at a robust 48% ABV. Made from 100% blue Weber agave from a specific single field — the hallmark of the Tequila Ocho terroir-driven approach. The pour reveals a stunning deep amber hue. The nose opens with toasted coconut, dried fig, dark chocolate, sweet cherries, roasted pineapple, maple syrup, and a wisp of warm wheat from the bourbon barrels. On the palate, expect concentrated coffee, toffee, toasted oak, orange peel, and rich cacao notes balanced by genuine agave character.
