Mandrarossa Perricone Rosé is a vibrant, terroir-driven Sicilian rosé built on one of the island's most distinctive native red grapes — Perricone, an indigenous variety that's been cultivated in Sicily for centuries but is rarely seen outside the island. The wine is made by Mandrarossa, the premium label of Cantine Settesoli — the legendary Menfi cooperative whose growers have been planting and vinifying since 1958. The pour shows a stunning, vivid pink-coral hue that's pure Sicilian summer in a glass. The nose opens with fresh strawberry, ripe red cherry, watermelon, citrus zest, and a wisp of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, expect a dry, lively, beautifully balanced rosé with juicy red fruit, refreshing acidity, gentle saline minerality, and a clean, mouth-watering finish. A more characterful, place-driven alternative to ubiquitous Provence-style rosés — and one of the genuinely original Sicilian pinks on the U.S. market. Pair it with grilled fish, prosciutto with melon, salads, light pastas, sushi, or simply chill it down for a warm-weather afternoon. Smart, expressive, and Sicilian to the core.
