This suave red is silky and perfumed, offering ripe cherry, berry and spice aromas. Shows refined tannins and fine overall balance, with oak spice notes on the finish. Drink now through 2032. 2,100 cases made, 273 cases imported.

Quite a dark rich purple. There is a powerful suggestion of dark fruit on the nose. A solid and relatively muscular Nuits, more in body than finesse at this stage, quite backward, light tannins though.

Description

On Premeaux side, soils are mostly pebbly and sandy. The plots on the Vosne-Romanée side of the village have shallow soils with some fine 'colluvions' washed down from up-slope. South of Nuits-Saint-Georges are mostly pebbly and sandy. The alluvions at the base of the slope originate in the combe of Vallerots.

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a red wine grape variety that is widely considered one of the most challenging and finicky to grow. It is known for producing elegant, aromatic wines with flavors and aromas that can include red berries, cherry, floral notes, and earthy undertones. Pinot Noir is often associated with regions like Burgundy in France, where it reaches its pinnacle, producing some of the world's most sought-after and expensive wines.
