Part of a new limited series from James B. Beam, this whiskey was taken off the still at a lower distillation proof, highlighting the flavors formed during fermentation and proving that age isn’t everything. The nose has notes of green apple, honeydew, and lemon peel, as well as old-fashioned donuts and vanilla birthday cake. The palate is green and malty but in a captivating way, with matcha powder and chocolate milkshake. A peppery, coffee-laden finish rounds out an unconventional drinking experience.

Description

#18 Whisky Advocate Top 20 of 2022

Taken off the still at a low distillation proof then intentionally aged at just 2 years for a fullness of flavor and complexity usually reserved for more mature bourbons. The result after just 2 years in the barrel is an incredibly robust flavor and proof that quality isn't solely defined by time. Inspired by its namesake’s post-Prohibition bourbon, Colonel James B. Beam boasts notes of vanilla, earthiness of nuts and oak and a distinctive caramel body.

Bourbon

Bourbon, a quintessentially American whiskey, stands out for its meticulous production process and distinctive flavor profile. Crafted predominantly from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the spirit undergoes aging in new charred oak barrels, contributing to its amber hue and imparting a unique combination of sweet and robust notes. With a complex palate that often includes flavors of caramel, vanilla, and a subtle undertone of spice, bourbon has become an iconic and cherished spirit, embodying the rich traditions of American whiskey-making while offering a delightful experience for enthusiasts seeking a nuanced and flavorful libation. Whether sipped neat, on the rocks, or incorporated into classic cocktails, bourbon remains a symbol of craftsmanship and heritage in the world of spirits.
