Description

Salcombe Gin 'Rosé Sainte Marie' is an 'all -natural' pink gin that is delicate, fresh and truly exquisite. Inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean and blended with naturally soft water. Double Gold Medal Winner at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition - The World's only dry pink gin to be awarded this accolade. Distilled and crafted using the finest Macedonian juniper berries to provide structure in the background, partnered with a natural, but not overpowering soft sweetness from strawberries and angelica. Salcombe Gin 'Rosé Sainte Marie' has a 'natural pink hue' from unsweetened red fruits and is hand crafted with no added sugar, artificial colorings or flavorings. Fresh citrus peels of lemon and orange (which are hand peeled each day prior to distillation) are combined with ten further hand sourced botanicals including lemon verbena, rose petals, orange blossom and pink peppercorns to create this truly exceptional gin that is elegantly soft and smooth. Named 'Rosé Sainte Marie' after the iconic ‘Sainte Marie’ lighthouse which marks the Southern entrance to the Old Port of Marseille, from where the 19th century Salcombe Fruit Schooners would load citrus fruits and herbs bound for England’s ports.

Gin

Gin, a clear and aromatic distilled spirit, is distinguished by its primary botanical flavor of juniper berries, which imparts a piney and resinous quality. Crafted through distillation, gin's unique profile is further enriched by a diverse array of botanicals, including herbs, spices, and citrus peels, resulting in a complex and versatile spirit. Its adaptability shines in classic cocktails like the Martini and the Negroni, where the interplay of botanicals adds depth and character. From the London Dry style with a crisp, juniper-forward taste to more contemporary and floral variations, gin remains a beloved and iconic spirit, inviting both tradition and innovation into the world of mixology.
