The 2020 Chateau Meyney is a solid step up, with more elegance and finesse, as well as structure. Giving up medium-bodied aromas and flavors of darker currants, black cherries, classy oak, tobacco leaf, and damp earth, it has terrific overall balance, building, fine-grained tannins, and a great finish. It has some accessibility today yet will benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and keep for two decades. Best After 2027.

This estate has produced a densely textured wine, rich in tannins and packed with dark, concentrated black fruits. There is a muscular character, structured and with fine promise for longterm aging.

Bordeaux Red Blend

Bordeaux red blends, hailing from the Bordeaux region in France, artfully combine grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec to create wines celebrated for their balanced profiles, marrying the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruitiness of Merlot. Known for aging potential, these wines evolve, gaining complexity and softer tannins over time, and their styles range from elegant to full-bodied, influenced by grape proportions and specific terroirs within Bordeaux sub-regions.
