Description

Great news as we just received the exciting wines of Avi Feldstein from Israel. Avi is a poet and philosopher turned winemaker who has become an icon in the Israeli wine industry. His claim to fame is the creation of Segal’s Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon and Feldstein now is putting his energy into his own wine.

The wines focus on native Israeli varieties and grapes that are sun loving such Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Argaman. He also does a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon. See the wine below and let me know if you would like to schedule a time to taste. "Unleash your inner poet and philosopher (even if you're far from Israel). These red wines from Avi Feldstein will tantalize your tastebuds. And they're not just great grapes - they're great for the Israeli wine industry. Try a glass and you'll understand Feldstein's claim to fame. With native Israeli varieties (and a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon), this dry red wine will make you feel like you're sipping in the sun. Come taste to see what we mean."

Cabernet Sauvignon

A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
